New York 811

Established in 1990, New York 811 (Formerly Dignet of NYC & LI Inc. ) is a nonprofit organization that acts as a communications link between utility companies and individuals planning any digging activity in the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island. By relaying these requests, New York 811 helps protect one of the most vast, congested and complicated underground infrastructures in the nation.

Underground Safety Alliance (USA)

Underground Safety Alliance (USA) was incorporated in November 2005, as a not for profit umbrella organization for “Call Before You Dig” one call centers. The founding members were Kentucky Underground Protection Inc. (KUPI), now known as Kentucky811, and Indiana Underground Plant Protection Service Inc. (IUPPS) now known as Indiana811. 

Marathon Pipe Line, LLC

Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL) operates approximately 6,000 miles of underground pipeline in 14 states. MPL transports crude oil, petroleum products and natural gas to and from terminals, refineries and other pipelines. The company safely controls the movement and delivery of an average of 120 million gallons of petroleum products daily.
